CITI-VAL Analysis of collected data

CITI-VAL PROJECT / ERASMUS+ 2016-1-FR01-KA204- 023961 / MARTA FEKETE – JUDIT HEGEDUS (HUNGARY) 14 CONCLUSION Some of the practices listed by the respondents proved to be very popular among the inmates. These were mostly informally educated, inspiring practices where inmates could use their creativity, could communicate and learn through the means of art. When one thinks of transversal competences – that, defined by UNESCO, is consisted of the following: critical and innovative thinking; interpersonal competences; intrapersonal competences; global citizenship – , these skills can be addressed most through the means of informal education (that is, not a formal type of education in a frontal, teacher- student-like setting but a more of a companionship- and comrade-type of learning), an active participation-type learning that results – surprisingly – in passive and almost invisible information- spreading and learning. The sessions should happen with fewer teachers (providing a most-craved stability for the prisoner) and in shorter time span. These would add to the efficiency of the courses.
